Annual Awards and Banquet

Each year the Topsanah District holds an annual awards banquet to honor a few of its members. Past recipients are listed here.

Please use the nomination forms below for the district awards to be presented at the Annual Topsanah District Dinner. There is just one form for submitting specific Topsanah District awards: Living Excellence, Extra Miler, Outstanding Leader of the Year and Bridge Builder. Please make sure the individual(s) you are submitting fit the award requirements, of which normally only one nominattion is selected. There is a separate form for the District Award of Merit, provided by the Council, and Topsanah district is allowed to select two (2) recipients each year.

Candidate Process for 2019

Taken into consideration for every award are the nominee’s Scouting position and the corresponding opportunity to render outstanding service beyond the expectations of that Scouting position and their attitude toward and cooperation with the district and council.

This nominating committee comprises of 5 Adult Scouters who have previously been awarded the District Award of Merit along with a professional advisor, Topsanah District Executive.

Please take a few minutes out of your busy day, and write down a few words regarding some one you deem worthy of being considered. In order for an adult Scouter to be considered for that award, they must be nominated. Additionally, the form must give the nominating committee as much supporting information as to why this person deserves the award you have submitted them for. Nominations can be submitted by more than one person for a single candidate. Paper copies of the nomination forms will be made available at Roundtables. Additionally, each Unit has the opportunity to submit leader(s) from their unit to be presented the Bridge Builder Award (see District Award Nominations form for more information) to also be awarded at the District Dinner.

Please note that if no one is nominated for an Award or there are no nominations that fulfil the requirements of the individual award, then said award will not be presented for that year.

The nominating committee will only choose one candidate for each individual district awards (Outstanding Leader of the Year, Extra Miler, Living Excellence) and two candidates for the District Award of Merit.
